PAST CLASSES: Canva Video Classes

These Canva Training videos were done for the California Federation Palomar District  by Sonja Hults. Sonja was a technology teacher for over 20 years and has taught everything from coding to graphic arts. Canva is a online graphics program that was invented in 2013 in Australia. Canva has a quick learning curve and is replacing Publisher very quickly. We are finding for club members who are doing newsletters, social media, fliers, presentations, marketing and so much more have found Canva to be their go to online graphics program.

You can get a free pro Canva program by filling out an online applications using your EIN number.

The Canva video topics available in this set are
(1) The Menus: This lesson walks you through all of the menus in each setting and how and when to use them.
(2) The Designs: This lesson works with Templates. Showing you how to find them, how to edit them and how to get your designs done in 1/2 the time then you are used too in the past programs.
(3) Photos Editing : Canva has a photo editing tool. It also has frames set up to help your photos shine. This class walks you through editing photos, cropping, color editing, background removal and making a photo look so professional it fools your best friend.
(4) How to send,  share, print and publish your project. Canva has many options when you are done with your project. You can Share. Download. Print. There are so many considerations. What is a PNG and when do you use that? What is a PDF Standard? Or PDF Print? This lesson helps you to know when to use each one and why it is important to know these before you have a print job sent back because you didn’t realize they only print with a PNG.

These classes are donated to the Palomar District as a fundraiser and we are so happy to have Sonja share her talent. Thank you Sonja.

Description: Creating a Non Profit Networking Group around your pages inviting your donation base and community leaders to help everyone to Be Seen Be Found.
*Linking to your Community. Sharing your Program/Affiliates to get attention for your club/district.
*Tagging is important in social media because it connects your content to people, communities, and conversations beyond your own audience.
*Create a powerful social media posting is one that doesn’t just “fill space,” but actually stops someone mid-scroll, engages their heart or mind, and inspires them to act, share, or connect.
*Hashtags are much more powerful than just a “#” in front of a word. They work like connectors in the digital world—linking your post to a larger conversation, helping it get discovered, and amplifying your reach.
