HISTORIAN (District)

The Historian is a voting member of the Palomar District Board of Directors.  She serves a two-year term.

RESPONSIBILITIES- To collect & preserve the history of Palomar District.

  • The Historian collects all flyers and information distributed by the Clubs, District Officers/Chairman that will be “crafted” into a keepsake book for the outgoing District President.
  • Keep a folder in the District Mailbox to collect flyers and other materials distributed by Clubs, District officers and chairmen.
  • Organize collected items in a keepsake book.
  • Present the Keepsake book to the out-going District President at the District Convention (2nd year of the administration).
  • Before purchasing any materials, contact the District Treasurer to confirm the amount allotted in the budget for the Keepsake Book.

State Awards (per the standing rules) :

Copies of the State Awards won by the District shall be placed in the Palomar District Historian’s Book and the original will remain with the recipient.
